From zero online sales to $800K in e-commerce revenue in just 4 months (Only using Meta Ads)
The Challenge
This wellness product had always struggled to unlock e-commerce performance for their product. They were entering a highly competitive market with no prior baseline of success. The challenge was to find success (fast), scale revenue rapidly, and achieve strong profitability, all within a limited timeframe.
Our Approach
We believed in the product so we went to work. Implementing our strategy primarily centered around Meta Ads and Creative, we conceptualised, learned, fed our ideas into Meta and then iterated (FAST) - we dialled (new concepts and iterations) to find the creative sweetspot.
Here’s how we did it:
1. Dialed in the Landing Page Offering: We rebuilt the brand’s core product offering page from the ground up, ensuring it covered all the critical elements for success.
- Clear value propositions and benefit-driven messaging.
- A user-friendly layout optimised for mobile.
- Social proof, including testimonials and reviews, to build trust.
- STRONG lifestyle imagery.
- Credibility and influence using social proof.
- Clear benefits and “why should I” messaging.
- Strong CTAs with offers.
2. Defined Profitability Metrics: We calculated the maximum allowable customer acquisition cost (CAC) to ensure profitability. This data became the foundation of our advertising strategy, guiding decisions around budget allocation and bid strategies.
3. Built a Meta Ads Strategy Around Key Metrics: Using the CAC data, we:
- Implemented BidCaps to control costs and ensure profitable ad spend.
- Created consolidated campaign structures to improve ad delivery efficiency.
- Allocated inflated budgets to scale winning campaigns quickly.
4. Tested Over 300 Ads: Our team executed an extensive creative testing process, experimenting with:
- Video ads, static images, organic posts, user generated content, customer generated content, employee generated content and founder generated content.
5. Leveraged Data to Refine Creatives: We continuously analysed performance data and fed insights back into our creative team. This iterative process enabled us to hone in on winning angles and messaging at an accelerated pace.
6. Played Heavily with Offer Strategies: We experimented with various offer strategies, tweaking discounts, bundles, and value propositions until we discovered an offer that clicked.
7. Repeated and Accelerated the Process: Once we identified the winning combination of ads, offers, and landing page elements, we scaled rapidly by repeating and optimising this process.
That’s it. Simple, effective and focussed.
The Results
Revenue Growth: From $0 to $800K in e-commerce revenue within just four months. Profitability: Achieved sustainable profitability by aligning CAC and ad spend efficiency. Conversion Rate: Significantly improved landing page performance through detailed CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation).
